Yuma School District ONE

One Community Pursuing Excellence

COVID-19

  • At the beginning of the 2022–2023 school year, several notable changes were made to the mitigation plan, highlighted below.

    • Health services will no longer offer COVID rapid testing for employees and students.
    • Positive case notices for classrooms will not be issued.
    • Contact tracing will no longer be required for reported cases.
    • Parents, visitors, and volunteers will be allowed on sites at the school’s discretion, and waivers are not required.
    • Face coverings remain optional on campus.
    • Enhanced cleaning procedures will continue on every campus.
    • Thorough hand washing and sanitizing practices are encouraged.
    • Playground and water fountains are open for full use.

The district continues to monitor COVID-19 cases in Yuma and may amend this plan, if necessary, to protect the health and safety of students and staff.

  • The CDC now maintains transmission rates on its dashboard. Daily and weekly updates may be found on the CDC Integrated County View page.

  • Please contact us with any questions or concerns at feedback@yuma.org
