The High Five program is our district’s employee recognition program. Every month we select five employees and acknowledge them at our governing board meetings. We spotlight those who embrace our core values and mission as a district. You can read more about the program in our High Five flyer. Each month we will present our Fantastic, Incredible, Valuable, Employees (FIVE) who demonstrate the following five criteria:
- Professionalism
- Displays a positive attitude
- Sees it, owns it, solves it, does it
- Demonstrates district pride
- Goes above and beyond

The annual employee milestone ceremony celebrates employees who have been committed to District One for 10 to 50 years. Each year milestone employees are acknowledged at an evening ceremony where they are presented with a certificate, years of service pin, and special recognition. Honored guests and their family are then treated to a celebratory reception following the ceremony. The entire evening celebrates employees for their dedication and commitment to students at District One.

The District One S.W.E.A.T. program serves to help all employees reach their health and wellness goals by offering free activities and classes. S.W.E.A.T. (Simple Ways Everyone Achieves Together) works with local companies to coordinate exercise classes, healthy cooking demonstrations, group walks/hikes, and more. Annual wellness fairs also provide employees with convenient and free opportunities to receive biometric screenings, flu shots, and meet with insurance providers.

Each year we are excited to celebrate Teacher of the Year Nominees. At a governing board meeting, teachers are recognized during a special presentation and then presented with a beautiful personalized plaque.
District One is grateful for the dedicated service and commitment of employees. When employees retiree, they are celebrated with a special recognition video and delicious treat from the talented Child Nutrition Department. An elegant custom engraved clock is also presented to retiring staff.
